Year 2000 Compliance DisclosureExtreme Web is well aware of the potential problems that all companies face when the computer date rolls from 1999 to 2000. The media has promoted the vulnerabilities of computer systems to make the public more aware of the situation. Extreme Web has completed its testing of all hardware and software used in our production environment. We are proud to announce that we are fully Year 2000 compliant and do not expect any problems whatsoever. Our hardware testing involved a rigorous rollover test. This test rebooted each machine several times - each time performing several tests such as: rollover while powered off, rollover while booting, rollover during POST, and rollover during normal operation. All of our servers passed along with our development machines. Our production machines primarily use Microsoft solutions for web integration. We have used the latest version of Microsoft Year 2000 Product Analyzer on all of our machines to test for compliance. All programs are fully compliant. We also use software solutions from other companies - such as MetaInfo, SendMail, Veritas, etc. In order to verify the compliance of each of these programs we checked our exact product version and revision numbers and compared them with compliance lists generated by these companies. All software that was not compliant, is now updated to be ready for the new millennium. If you have any questions about Year 2000 compliance at Extreme Web, please feel free to contact us at y2k@extremeweb.com. We're glad to answer any questions. Thanks |
